The Hermetic Triumph by KainMorgenmeer The Hermetic Triumph by KainMorgenmeer

"In the gardens of dark matter
The serpents coil and twist
As they bind their tails
Around the eternal pillars

From the shadows you have come
To stand across the path of the sun
Everlasting secrets that you keep
Revealed for those who dare to seek"

Jess and the Ancient Ones - 13th Breath Of The Zodiac

"I cannot now think symbols less than the greatest of all powers whether they are used consciously by the masters of magic, or half unconsciously by their successors, the poet, the musician and the artist" - William Butler Yeats

Well, at first: I don’t like to explain my art in detail, because every given meaning from me destroys possible other meanings of other people (at least some people see it this way).

Even though every artwork has it’s own “life” (which means that it will evoke different interpretations in different minds and that my own interpretation is not necessarily the only “true meaning”) and every interpretation is as right as the other, some people will feel rejected by knowing my interpretation.

But I will give you some clues about the tendency of this picture.

The short answer is, it is a complex symbol of my beliefs and my way of life.

The outer symbol (the triangle with the cross) is the alchemical symbol of sulphur (brimstone). Which is composed of the triangle (element of fire) and the cross of the symbol of earth. This outer sulphur symbol refers (amongst others) to alchemy.

The inner symbol is a sulphur symbol too, for more information about it you can look here:…

It refers to my concepts of the left hand path (or Satanism, but I don’t like this term)

It is composed of two snakes which are wrapping around a sword. A phallus symbol, but also referring to a inverted cross and a symbol of power, will, execution (of will), the weapon of a magician etc.

I feel the smell of blood, it is just my feeling.

Snakes evoke in me the majesty.

Sword of destiny.

I like the background color and contrast bright-red.

Thank you.
Oh, that is a good association my dear. Majesty is good too, but I'm fascinated that you are mention "sword of destiny" - it was also on my mind.
As you can see, it's the same symbol like the sulfur tree and amongst others another symbol for the left hand path. but also for, as said in the title, the hermetic way.
